About ella STARTUPS

MISSION INTO MOTION

Opportunity should not depend on who already has access.

ella STARTUPS is the nonprofit founded by Alicia Gonzalez to expand access, education, opportunity, and support for underrepresented women as entrepreneurs and leaders.

The organization exists because talent is everywhere, while access is not. Too many women have the ambition, ideas, lived experience, and leadership capacity to build something meaningful, but face structural gaps in capital, networks, mentorship, visibility, and practical business education.

Empowerment is not a slogan. It is access, knowledge, community, visibility, and a real path forward.

What ella STARTUPS is building

Education is the foundation. ella STARTUPS connects leadership development, entrepreneurship, community, mentorship, practical skills, events, partnerships, media visibility, and access to resources so women can build with more information, more confidence, and more support.

The goal is not simply to inspire women to start. It is to help more women build, lead, grow, and be seen while creating stronger pathways into the networks and opportunities that can change what happens next.

Why it belongs in Alicia’s ecosystem

Alicia’s work spans business, media, education, and advocacy, but the connective tissue is access. Adelante Media helps businesses grow. Her journalism brings underrepresented stories and leadership into the conversation. Her teaching turns expertise into usable knowledge. ella STARTUPS extends that work into a nonprofit mission focused on who gets the tools, networks, visibility, and opportunities to lead and build.

A bigger definition of entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is not only about launching companies. It is about agency: the ability to turn an idea into action, create economic opportunity, make decisions, build something sustainable, and change what is possible for yourself and the people around you.
