Privacy policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Adelante Media Corporation and the Alicia Gonzalez websites and brands that use this policy ("we," "us," or "our") collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit aliciagonzalez.tv, shop with us, enroll in courses or trainings, sign up for communications, submit a journalism or business inquiry, or otherwise use our websites and services.
Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and may include:
- Contact and account information, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing or billing address, account credentials, and communication preferences.
- Order and transaction information, such as products or services purchased, payment status, shipping details, returns, refunds, and related customer-service records. Complete payment-card information is generally processed by Shopify or other payment providers rather than stored directly by us.
- Course, event, and service information, such as registrations, access records, participation, support requests, appointment details, and information you choose to provide while working with us.
- Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, interactions with the site, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie or similar technology identifiers, and analytics data.
- Marketing information, such as newsletter subscriptions, campaign interactions, preferences, and information used to measure or improve advertising and communications.
- Communications and submissions, including customer-service messages, forms, survey responses, journalism pitches, speaking or consulting inquiries, partnership requests, feedback, and other content you choose to send us.
How we collect information
We collect information directly from you, automatically through our websites and related technologies, and from service providers or business partners that help us operate the site, process transactions, deliver services, measure performance, prevent fraud, or market our offerings.
How we use information
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our websites and services;
- process purchases, payments, fulfillment, course access, registrations, appointments, returns, and refunds;
- respond to customer-service, media, partnership, speaking, consulting, or other inquiries;
- send transactional communications and, where permitted, marketing communications;
- personalize content and understand how visitors use the site;
- measure marketing, advertising, and site performance;
- detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms; and
- comply with legal obligations and protect our rights or the rights of others.
Store platforms and integrations
Our store uses Shopify for ecommerce infrastructure, checkout, customer and order administration, and related store services. Depending on the product or feature you use, information may also be processed by integrations that support a specific part of the customer experience. Current store integrations we have verified include:
- Tevello Courses & Communities for course or community delivery and access;
- Shopify Digital Products for delivery of eligible digital products;
- Judge.me Reviews for product-review functionality;
- Shopify chat or messaging for customer communications;
- Poptin for popup or email-capture experiences; and
- qikify for promotional or social-proof storefront features.
The store also has integrations that can support functions such as returns, shipping, fulfillment, analytics or attribution, SEO, accounting, and store operations. Those providers may receive contact, device, order, transaction, or shipping information when needed to provide the applicable service. An installed integration is not necessarily used for every visitor, customer, or transaction.
Service providers and other disclosures
We may disclose personal information to service providers and contractors that perform services for us, including ecommerce, payment processing, hosting, fulfillment, email and customer communications, course delivery, analytics, advertising, scheduling, fraud prevention, professional services, and technical support. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transaction or reorganization, or at your direction or with your consent.
Cookies, analytics, advertising, and similar technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, remember preferences, understand performance, measure campaigns, and, where enabled, support advertising or personalization. We do not operate a business model in which personal information is exchanged for money. However, some disclosures involving advertising, analytics, or cross-context behavioral advertising may be treated as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" activity under certain U.S. state privacy laws even when no money changes hands. Where applicable law requires a privacy choice, consent mechanism, or opt-out, we will provide or honor the applicable choice through Shopify's Customer Privacy features, a compatible third-party privacy tool, or another method appropriate to the technology and jurisdiction involved. Third-party cookies, pixels, or app integrations may have their own consent requirements and privacy practices. Where applicable law requires us to recognize browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), we will honor supported signals through Shopify's Customer Privacy features or another compatible mechanism.
Your privacy choices and rights
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages. You may also contact us about your communication preferences or a privacy request. Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to us, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, or to opt out of certain uses or disclosures. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a request, and legal exceptions may apply.
California and other U.S. state privacy rights
California law, when applicable, can provide rights to know or access certain personal information, request deletion or correction, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and exercise covered privacy rights without unlawful discrimination. Other U.S. state privacy laws may provide similar or additional rights. Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf. We may require information reasonably necessary to verify the agent's authority and, where permitted, may ask you to verify your identity or confirm that you authorized the request.
How to submit a privacy request: Where a website privacy-choice control is available, you may use that control to submit an applicable opt-out request. You may also email support@adelantemedia.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and describe the right you want to exercise. If applicable law requires a separate "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," "Your Privacy Choices," or similar website mechanism, we will provide that mechanism and honor qualifying opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
EEA, United Kingdom, and similar data-protection rights
If the GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar data-protection law applies to our processing of your personal information, you may have rights that include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection to certain processing, and rights concerning certain automated decisions. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. Where such laws require a lawful basis for processing, our bases may include your consent, performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of vital interests where applicable, or our legitimate interests when those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. You may also have the right to complain to an applicable data-protection authority if you believe your privacy rights have not been respected.
Journalism, media, and business submissions
If you send a journalism pitch, source inquiry, partnership request, consulting inquiry, or other submission, we use the information you provide to review and respond to that communication and for related business or editorial administration. A submission does not guarantee coverage, engagement, publication, or a business relationship.
Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal, accounting, security, and compliance obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason we hold it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our commercial websites and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through these services. Purchases, paid services, and account creation may also be subject to age or parental-consent requirements imposed by law or by a particular service.
International visitors
If you access the site from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your country of residence. Where applicable law requires additional protections for international transfers or privacy rights, those requirements control.
Third-party links and services
Our websites may link to third-party websites, platforms, affiliate partners, publications, social networks, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, practices, technology, vendors, or legal obligations. The updated date above will show when the policy was last revised. If applicable law requires additional notice of a material change, we will provide it.
